How ABN Amro used 360 video for its talent recruitment program ‘Talent Centraal’
The Client
ABN AMRO, in collaboration with selected organizations, combines knowledge and expertise to support sports talent in their development and help them achieve their goals. The Talent Centraal platform is an initiative aimed at nurturing, stimulating, and guiding young ambitious athletes in the Netherlands, recognizing that talent development encompasses more than just training and financial security, addressing various facets crucial for reaching the top in sports.
The Question
ABN AMRO sought to invest in the future and demonstrate social involvement in sports by developing an overarching activation to realize the goals of Talent Centraal. The challenge was to create an activation that could be deployed at multiple events, effectively raising awareness of the initiative and inspiring people.
The Solution
BrandBase developed the “Pillars to Success” booth, a concept designed to convey Talent Centraal’s message of supporting young talents’ development across four domains essential for achieving success. The booth features four illuminated pillars with the talent positioned centrally. Visitors can explore success stories of role model athletes and learn how Talent Centraal contributes to the development of top athletes. The booth incorporates a virtual reality experience, immersing users in the world of a successful athlete. To further amplify Talent Centraal’s message, we produced two compelling videos: “The Story of Sports” and “The Story of Music.”
The Story of Sports
The Story of Sports places the viewer in a virtual reality experience with top athlete Pieter van den Hoogenband. We witness, up close, the sacrifices he makes daily. The narrative emphasizes the dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to reach the pinnacle of sports. Viewers gain a visceral understanding of the commitment it takes to pursue athletic excellence.
The Story of Music
The Story of Music introduces us to the world-renowned Jussen brothers, two highly talented pianists. The video explores how they achieved their success and the sacrifices they made along the way. The setting in a theater creates an intimate yet grand atmosphere, enhanced by beautiful music and a captivating story. Both videos effectively highlight the support Talent Centraal provides to help aspiring talents in sports and music develop the tools they need for success.
