Siemens – Transforming the Everyday

Project

We helped Siemens create a stunning multi-location VR experience that showcased its global tech vision to over 500 top executives, marking an impressive return to live events.

The Client
Siemens AG is a German multinational conglomerate and Europe’s largest industrial manufacturing company. The company regularly invites its top management to Munich, but this had not been possible in recent years due to Covid. This year, visitors were finally able to return, and Siemens wanted to demonstrate that it hadn’t stood still and that it had an exciting vision for the future.

The Question
Siemens wanted to create a unique Virtual Reality experience to kick off its event for 560 participants. The goal was to present the company’s future vision and position Siemens as a high-tech company of tomorrow.

The Solution
We created a seamless, one-of-a-kind experience that lets users travel between the physical and digital worlds in which Siemens operates. The user is guided to several locations, each showcasing real use cases of Siemens technology such as smart cities and predictive maintenance.

The Intro
The experience begins with a countdown in both the physical and virtual space. The user is then transported to the German city of Munich for an overview. The viewer glides toward the Siemens office before being immersed in the streets of the city.

The City
Users ride through the streets of a futuristic city, exploring the many ways Siemens technology is applied. To reflect Siemens’ global presence, we created three distinct visual styles: a European-style city, a Middle Eastern-inspired setting, and one with an Asian aesthetic.

Smart Infrastructure
After the city tour, users are taken to a large solar field, representing Siemens’ role in accelerating the energy transition. Technologies such as edge computing are highlighted, showing how they benefit people across the planet.

Mobility
Next, users board the train of the future, beginning in a virtual version of Munich Central Station. A narrator explains how sensors and data analytics are making public transport safer and more efficient by predicting maintenance needs and optimizing operations.

The Factory
Combining hardware and software with the industrial metaverse, Siemens can visualize data through digital twins. This is demonstrated in a virtual factory, where real 360° footage is blended with 3D graphics and animations.

The Event
In collaboration with our German partner Kabetec and our sister company VR Expert, we showcased the VR experience to more than 500 participants. Using our VR Sync software, the content was played simultaneously for all users.

ROI and Results

A successful and memorable experience for Siemens’ top management, illustrating how the company is shaping the future through smart technologies. The event was also a great introduction for the new CEO and a powerful opening to the Siemens reunion.
