VLOT!
VLOT! used a 360° video tour of their newly renovated school to give students, parents, and staff a virtual preview during the open house, creating excitement and a smooth transition into the upcoming changes.
The Client
VLOT! (Vrij Lokers Onderwijs voor jouw Toekomst) is a school group in Belgium, committed to providing quality education. They are currently undergoing a major renovation of their school building, which will undergo significant changes. To keep students, parents, and staff informed, VLOT! sought an innovative way to showcase the new design before the physical transformation was complete.
The Question
With the school’s renovation making the building almost unrecognizable, VLOT! needed a way to present the new design to students, parents, and the school community. They wanted to offer a virtual preview during their open house event.
The Solution
A 360° video was created using the 3D models of the renovated school provided by the architect. These models were transferred to Unreal Engine to produce a realistic visual representation of the future school. The 360° video allowed students, parents, management, and the school board to experience the new building virtually before its construction. The video was shown at the open house using five Oculus Go headsets, with on-site event support for the hardware.
