Huawei | AR Map

Powered by the Cyberverse technology, Huawei has launched the Huawei AR Map. Huawei made the AR map to compete with Google since the trade restrictions by the US government. Currently, it is only available on the Huawei P40 series.

Based on river chart technology, the AR map makes it look like there is no difference between the real and virtual world. The AR map allows users to get more information and educative stories about landmarks by simply navigating their phone to the landmark. When aimed at the landmark, you can click on the AR content on your phone to get the information or story attached to that landmark.

At first, the Huawei AR Map supports only two known locations in China. The Magao Caves of Dunhuang in Gansu and Nanjing Road Bund in Shanghai, China. This will be expanded with more landmarks and to more platforms.
